DONATE

Your generous contributions secure the success of our youth. Consider donating items to our Charitable Programs, Wish List, or become a Sponsor with a monthly or one-time contribution. All material and monetary donations are tax deductible

There are many ways you can help make a difference in our youth and their future success.

CHARITABLE PROGRAMS

  • Back to School Basics - Entering the school year ready is vital to academic success. We collect backpacks and fill them with basic school supplies. Children start the year off with confidence and ambition to learn. When you are out back to school shopping consider donating to our program.

  • A Basket of Blessings- During the holidays we put together baskets of food and deliver them the Sunday before the holiday to families in need. Donate a basket of your favorites and add a message of hope from your family to theirs.

  • Coats for Kids - We gather new and gently used coats, jackets, heavy sweaters and shoes for children who would otherwise not have armor from the cold. You can drop items off at 201 W Santa Fe Ave Ste F, Placentia, CA 92870 or call (714) 927-8420 to schedule the items for pick up.

  • Lending Library - Our lending library allows children the opportunity to borrow a book and continue reading at home. We are always accepting books to expand our lending library. Books levels can range from beginning readers to advanced age appropriate chapter books. Do you have books your family has outgrown? Donate them to Alas Del Pueblo.

  • Self Care - Students receive hygiene sets as needed. These sets include travel sized deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, chapstick, shampoo & conditioner. This could be a great group or family project.

  • Walk a mile - Walk a mile in their shoes is a phrase we commonly use to challenge our youth to empathize with others. One discussion lead an 8 year old to jokingly say "they should walk a mile in my shoes" and showed us the soles of her shoes that were falling apart. The kids chuckled, but it is no laughing matter. Many kids go without the basic necessities because of their financial situation. Our program collects new shoes for children ages 4-17 so that with every step they take they know they are not alone.

  • Recycling rewards - Part of the program teaches kids to take an active role in the change they wish to see in their environment. Kids are encouraged to work together and establish community partnerships in their recycling efforts. They learn how to collaborate with others, develop their potential to make a difference, and learn the importance of building community through service.

HOLIDAY GIVING

GIVE BIG- How do you put a price tag on what we do? I don't know if you can, but you can start by asking what giving means to you. It can be a reflection of who you are and what you stand for. It can be a message of faith and assurance you are sending to our youth. What giving symbolizes for you resonates in the lives you are affecting with your generosity.

This end of year maximize your dollar and Give Big to keep our programs funded and our youth in school. The benefit of your tax-deductible donation will go far beyond its monetary value. Donate today.
